    GUM (Main Department Store) - the largest shopping mall in the center of Moscow. This is one of the most famous sights of the capital.

    Until 1921 GUM was called "Upper Trading Rows". GUM building is an architectural monument of pseudo-federal. Now sheer building of the Upper Trading Rows were built parallel to the Kremlin wall in the 1890-1893 years. His built by architect AN Pomerantsev and engineers Shukhov and AF Loleyt. Grand opening of the Upper Trading Rows held in 1893.

    In this huge three-story building housed over a thousand stores. GUM building has been renovated several times. Today belongs to the Russian store retailers Bosco di Ciliegi, which specializes in the sale of luxury goods.
