    Chinatown in New York City is one of the largest Chinatowns outside of Asia. It is located in the southern part of Manhattan, just north of the financial district, in the vicinity of Little Italy.

    Quarter of the population is estimated at 100 thousand people. More accurate data are difficult to determine because of the language barrier and the large-scale illegal immigration. Now Chinatown settle not only the Chinese, but also immigrants from Vietnam, Burma, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic.

    Chinatown is one of the safest areas of New York. It employs a lot of souvenir shops, small restaurants, as well as sewing workshops. Small sewing production - the main field of employment of the quarter.
