Monument to Lesia Ukrainka

  • Monument to the great Ukrainian poetess Lesya was opened in Moscow City Day in 2006. This original sculpture has become a real decoration of Ukrainian boulevard that connects the space between the area in front of the Kiev railway station and the hotel "Ukraine" which is considered one of the most beautiful high-rise buildings in the capital.

    Monument to Lesia Ukrainian evokes fabulously lyrical mood. The figure of the poet is shown in the background of a spring tree with birds. This composition represents the poetry of Ukraine. Lesya Ukrainian depicted as if the young poet under the cover of the golden tree listens to the birds singing, holding an open book.
