Boston Symphony Orchestra is widely known not only in the US but also around the world. In addition, he is one of the oldest symphony orchestras in the United States, in its composition are the stars of world level. Since 1900, the orchestra is placed in the hall "Symphony Hall" which can accommodate 2600 spectators and has one of the world's best acoustic data. In 1999, Boston's Symphony Hall was included in the list of national historical monuments.

If at the beginning of the twentieth century created a new draft of the concert hall, the origin was the image of the famous concert hall in Leipzig, unfortunately destroyed during the Second World War. Hall has the shape of a rectangle, and a fairly narrow with high walls.

The design stage is very peculiar - it is a little tilted inward, it is done to better focus the sound. Almost all the elements are made of bricks, plaster and steel, except the stage of the wooden floor. Decorative trim enough reserved - Everything is thought out very carefully so that no detail has prevented clean sound without muting it and redirecting.

In "Symphony Hall" is one of the best concert of the world - it was set by Donald Harrison in 1949. It has 4,800 tubes 62 installed in series. After some renovation, produced in 2003, he gives not the best in the world purity sound.
