Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh

    Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh located on Lenin Street in the city of Bor. The stone church was built and consecrated in 1754-1757, respectively, in place of wooden Transfiguration Church, built in 1673. At the temple is the throne in honor of the Transfiguration of the Lord and two chapels - in honor of the Holy Trinity and in the name of St. Sergius of Radonezh. There is also the highest stone tower built in 1828.

    In 1935, the Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh was closed at the time the building was the House of Pioneers. In 1995, the church was transferred to Nizhny Novgorod Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church and again returned to believers. Since 2006, the church is restored and today held here Worship, church believers come to praise the Lord and make the liturgy.
